Enrolment for courses: To participate in any of the courses/programs please forward either the full payment, or a non-refundable deposit ($10 non-residential, $30 residential), together with the names of the courses in which you wish to enrol, no later than one week prior to commencement of the course/program.

Bookings are essential: Your position in a course is only assured when you have paid at least the non-refundable deposit of $10 for non-residential courses or $30 for residential courses. Application Form (Opens in PDF)

The Grove Fund-Raiser - Card Making

Come and enjoy a day of making cards. Learn new card making techniques. Have fun and contribute to the 2010 fundraising efforts.

Magic Moments of Connection
Joan Dickson
Using Eckhart Tolle's book "Stillness Speaks" as an inspiration, we will probe the deeper meaning of connection both within ourselves and our outer world. This course will include reflection, journaling, discussion and meditation. Reading the book is not a necessity but may be beneficial.
Dates: 4 Tuesdays April 20th & 27th , May 4th & 11th

Listening to our Hearts - Retreat
Michelle Morris
During this retreat we will pay attention to our four-chambered heart- the source for sustaining our emotional & spiritual health. We will incorporate silence/ meditation practices, the creative process, nature activities and sharing our stories. To support ourselves in being full-hearted, open-hearted, clear-hearted and strong-hearted. Participants will find this weekend deeply nurturing and replenishing, and will learn practices to continue in daily life.
Dates: Friday 30th April 7.00 pm - 9.30 pm, Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd May

Preparing Ourselves and our Families for Winter

These four workshops will address nutritional, physical and emotional well-being, which are all important in preparation for the colder winter months. Participants will be advised on how to prepare themselves and their families for the coming of Winter. This will include advice on - foods that nourish and warm us in order to prevent illness, emotional upset or physical upset - recipes to use if illness does occur - physical therapy, including relaxation techniques

"Greening the Soul" - A Reflection Day at The Grove

This Reflection Day will focus on aspects of the life and writings of Hildegard of Bingen as a source of inspiration. Using themes from Hildegard's writings we will spend time with our own spiritual journey and its seasons.
Date: Wednesday May 12th 10.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m.

Art and Alchemy

Alchemy, as an esoteric art, is almost as old as civilisation itself. The alchemist's quest is one of self-development, attempting to integrate the many facets of personality to attain psychic wholeness. The medium of Art offers a perfect medium to explore the irrational presentations of alchemy. In this class we will explore this fascinating subject and its relevance for our lives today. No previous art experience is necessary.

Self-hypnosis for Healing & Well-being
Monika Merkes
Learn to use meditation and self-hypnosis for relaxation, health and happiness. In this one-day workshop for beginners and advanced meditators, you will learn skills that build on meditation to achieve a positive mind, improved health and well-being. Through self-hypnosis we can access the subconscious mind and change long held behaviour patterns, attitudes and thought processes. Self-hypnosis skills are easy to learn and safe to use. However, if you suffer from a mental illness, this workshop may not be suitable for you. Except for depression, if you suffer from any significant psychiatric illness do not register for this workshop without first obtaining the approval of your existing health professional

"The Power of Appreciation" - Residential Retreat

This workshop is based on the work of Dr. Noelle Nelson. It is an opportunity for women to harness the dynamic energy of appreciation in order to achieve success, happiness and fulfilment. In a supportive environment, discover how you can create a better life using the power of appreciation.
N.B. This retreat is organized and run by the facilitators. It is not subsidized by The Grove. Enquiries should be directed to the facilitators of the program.
Dates: Friday evening, May 28th; Saturday May 29th & Sunday May 30th
Venue: Jum Bunna Lodge, Launching Place

Everyday Retreat
Catherine Smith & Noella Sullivan
We are holding a retreat with a difference this year for those who cannot commit to a residential retreat. You continue to go about your life as usual and meet with a Spiritual Director at The Grove each day. This is also an opportunity for those who haven't experienced Spiritual Directors to do so. We plan to meet at The Grove as a group on Sunday May 30th at 4.p.m. From Monday to Friday you meet individually for an hour with a Spiritual Director at a mutually agreed time, again at The Grove. We will gather again as a group Friday evening to reflect on, and share the gifts of the week.
Dates: Initial group session Sunday May 30th 4.00 - 5.00 p.m.
Monday - Friday June 1st - 4th Ongoing.
Final group session June 4th 6.00 - 7.00 p.m.
Cost: $70 (Members $60)

"Come into the Silence" A day of silence at The Grove

Silence happens not only when the words stop but when the mind and the heart are still enough to listen deeply to the word beyond words - to the quiet language of the souls. In silence you can "lose yourself in being". (Noel Davis) and be surprised by the clarity that arises from within.
Maximum of 6 participants.

Winter Ritual

At the time of the Winter Solstice, the longest night and shortest day, we come together to honour the darkness, the still point of the year. We enter the dark place of future potential, the turning point of our energies, the place where we nurture the seed of new growth.
